Sequence Search guide

Two modes are possible for sequence search:

1. Select tab “Sequence”, then type in or copy/paste the sequence in the text box provided. Then hit the “Go” button to submit your search.
2. Select tab “File upload”; click the “Browse…” button to locate the file containing desired sequence. The file may be either plain text file or FASTA file. Then hit the “Go” button to submit your search.
   For FASTA files containing multiple sequences, serch is only done for the first one.

Wildcards can be used as follows:

You may use the following wildcard characters:

• “*” (asterisk) – replaces any number of characters.
• “?” (question mark) – replaces any single character.
